The New School of Learning
Online learning is the new reality period. It’s new to most, its frustrating to figure out and as if it had a life of its own it seems to want to fight us back. I’ll be going over some tips that I had figured out along the way to help you navigate these waters. To finish my bachelors degree, I attend Western Governors University. I choose this path because of the cost its almost half of my in state school tuition and the learning is competence based meaning that the faster you get through the material you can take one test and be done with the course usually. The fact that I can set my own pace and lower the cost of tuition meant no more dropping out of school because I can’t afford it or I cannot fit it into my work schedule, but this new way of learning has some caveats. Here is what I believe to make that transition easier and more enjoyable than you think.
- Figure out which school is best for you. There are different options online based schools like I attend work for people looking to cut cost and just finish their degree because many people often start and don’t finished. Traditional colleges also offer online since most people can’t attend in person because of the pandemic, but beware most of these schools still are charging as if you where attending in person. List the pro and cons of each school and sees what speaks to you, just remember no institution is perfect, but you can come close…
